• When arrested or arraigned on a criminal charge in any of our three counties, individuals will be offered the opportunity to apply for appointed counsel. 

• An individual may also obtain the form from our office or the website.  The form should be filled out as completely as possible.

• The completed form will be submitted to our office for review. 

• Our Intake Specialist may contact the individual for more information if necessary.

• We will either approve or deny the application based on established criteria. 

  • If approved, one of our attorneys will file an appearance in the case and the client will be notified.

  • If there is a conflict within our office, the case will be transferred to the Managed Assigned Counsel Administrator for assignment to outside counsel. 

• If the application is denied, the individual will be notified of the reason for the denial and will be provided with instructions on how to appeal the denial if they choose to do so.
